Unleashing the power of female entrepreneurs in tech!
How to use 15 years of tech startup experience to build a tech startup.
Only 10% of the founders of tech startups are women.
All female founder teams received 1% of all the money invested in tech startups in 2022.
Teams with female founders and mixed teams perform on average 20% better than all male founding teams
About two years ago, I ran into a statistic that blew my mind: Only 2% of the investments in tech startups goes to startups founded by women. In Europe, it's less than 1 percent.
To learn more, I started to investigate the context. I learned that only 10% of tech startups is founded by women. I also learned that there are not so many female investors in startups. And I found out that women - when given a chance - usually outperform men.
So why the small percentage then? After all, it would make sense to invest in female founders from a business case point of view.
So I decided to investigate a bit more and share the results of my investigation with everyone via a podcast and a blog about the women who are disrupting the tech industry.
